Chapel Teams Head to Houston

When the 2016 flood devastated our community, Chapel teams armed themselves with shovels and saws and hit the ground running, helping members of our Chapel family and then others in the community.

This year it is our neighbors to the west who need our help. We are ready to go! You are invited to join the team.

The Chapel has partnered with Houston’s First Baptist Church to provide teams to muck out houses. We hope to send 6 teams of 8 that will leave Monday, September 4, 4 am from the Oaks, and return Wednesday night. This trip is now open to both men and women.

What You Need to Bring
  • Sleeping bag/pillow/mat (We will be sleeping on church floor.)
  • Changes of clothes (Bring rubber boots/jeans/hat/etc….)
  • Personal toiletries
  • Tools (Bring what you can for muck out and demolition.)
  • Vehicle (If you have a truck/SUV, we need for you to drive).

Many of us here will appreciate your coming here. Some of us are okay, but of course many are less fortunate. And if you have time I hope you can look us up, Mike & Judy on 2401 Holcombe Blvd., at least those of us who know us.
